Having initially worked in business management, it became obvious that
my lifelong creative passion could not be quashed. This need was eventually
satisfied when I embarked upon a Fine Art Degree and I learned as a consequence
the importance of following one’s dream.
I have been working as a practising Artist ever since and haven’t looked
I’ve exhibited throughout the region in both group and solo shows, undertaken commissions and taught the ‘Gum Arabic Transfer Print’ technique to fellow Artists at various printmaking centres.
My main interests have been painting and printmaking, although any
creative medium that helps convey my observations, sense of colour, style and
composition will be brought into play.
For years I have sent cards made from original art work to family and friends and am always touched when the card remains on display as a treasured memento long after the occasion has passed on which the card was sent…a daily connection between sender and recipient.
Transposing my creations into greetings cards on a commercial scale is an exciting new
departure for me, a venture that combines creative energy with my business
management skills – a fledgling with ambition!
My designs begin life in a sunny studio that I’ve christened ‘The Head
Space’, a wonderful space conducive to creative occupation; surrounded by
greenery, birdsong and wildlife – oh, and my two black labrador ‘helpers’ (or
should that be ‘hinderers’) Indi and Bud.
